Hi guys, my name is Matias Macaya, an old speedcuber from Chile. This is technically my 2nd introduction since I lost my old account from 2008.

I Was active in both the forums and competitions back in 2008 to 2011, during that time I went to 10 competitions and podium 52 times including 2 3x3 first place and an average of 2.8 golds per competition.

Some of my achievements include:

First SA sub 1 in 4x4
First SA sub 2 in 5x5
First NR sub 10 in 3x3
16 CR and 29 NR

After a long break I'm back into cubing, currently working in learning new methods and adapting to the changes in cubing. I'm not sure if I'll ever compete again but that might change in the future.

Welcome back! It's cool that you're getting back into it!
@shadowslice e made a thread on it, I'd guess you're the 4th/5th generation of cubers since you cubed since 2008.
Can you link that please?

It's really interesting because I identify more with the generation from early 2000's, I helped organize the very first official competition in my country, and I also competed and organized 2 non-WCA competitions before that. I definitely helped develop the competitive scene in Chile and some other countries in South America.
