Most underwhelming cubes

So this came into my mind the other day so I decided to make a thread about it. Its kinda of stupid however haha. I was thinking about cubes, and underwhelming cubes came to mind, such as the Dayan pyraminx; as there was a ton of hype and it wasnt even that great. Any others?

In my opinion: dayan pyraminx, dayan panshi, fangshi guangying, rubiks speedcube, etc

The Maru XD is pretty meh. Decent for OH though?

The Maru CX3 and the MoYu LingPo were the two cubes I bought expecting to be great, but weren't.

For me probably the Aoshi, It's my main but its not as good as I wan't it to be. Many people would somewhat agree with me.

For me, the most underwhelming cubes are the Dayan Pyraminx, the Dayan Panshi, the Moyu Dianma, and the Dayan+MF8 4x4s.

Moyu Lingpo. I expected it to be great, but its trash. My dayan out of the box is better than my lingpo that is lubed and broken in. Many noobs and nubs still use it and cannot comprehend how **** it is.

Most people would disagree with me on this, but the AoLong V2. I never liked this cube, set up or not. I was expecting it to be amazing since most people at the time were using it and raving about it. I really hate the feeling of this cube.

Me too, I tried 2 aolong v2s, but I hated it.

I can't say I hate the cube myself, but I can definitely understand how you feel that way, it's not some 100% superior cube like people make it out to be.

I personally would say the gans 356 is up there. Thing is, I'm not totally justified, I've felt other people's and they have been pretty nice cubes, but for some reason I can't get my own right, and I've had 2 of them, so I know it's not just the one. Maybe I'll get a premium one and that will change my opinion.

gans 356, too damn flimsy and an added factor of catches compared to my 357 which has none, and even if you shave down corner tips, pull out the stalks after unscrewing it a bit, they can be pushed back in during solves if you push on the corner, it'll push back inwards as if you never unscrewed it a little bit. also the cube is too easy to move and pieces move so easily within the cube it's hard to control.

I was prepared to love it and mourned over the loss of 23 dollars for a speed cube

I'd have to disagree. I go between the Aolong and Hualong quite frequently and the Aolong is so much better IMO.

As for underwhelming the YJ YuHu ... I was expecting so much from it, and while it turns nicely, it really locks a lot which is quite frustrating.

Mine would be the Mini Aolong. For some reason I just hate the feel.

in the last 4 years or so i still don't think i've seen a cube fall as flat as the panshi did...

For me it was the Dayan LunHui. Horribly heavy mess. I did one solve then never touched it again.

Lubing that with weight 5 made it almost silent, though. Definitely one of my favorite cubes to have around and just show people how quiet it was.

The corner stalk thing was amusing, too.
