I think it could it have gone either way, and the cube solving skills of each competitor are at the same level and not what determined the winner this time; it was the ability to deal with pressure. Yiheng, being 3½ years older than 9-year-old Xuanyi and more experienced in competitions, won this time, but again it could have been Xuanyi. What is clear IMO is that ZB is definitely as good and likely better than CFOP, a very mature and well practised method, for competing at the highest level. Going forward, I can see Xuanyi winning at some time, soon, as he grows and develops physically and mentally, but Yiheng also winning sometimes. I think both Xuanyi and ZB have potential that could become significant later.

I am glad that the chats were not disturbing the competitors, and you can turn them off. I still remember, years ago, I went to a basketball match in the US. Fans were yelling, weaving flags, whistling or even beating drums, often when someone in the other team was trying to make a penalty shot.
