Hi everyone. My name is Maël and I'm a French speedcuber.
For some time now I have been thinking about hosting an online comp kinda like monkey league but for pyraminx, and I finally received a sponsoring offer from Atoutcubes ( https://www.atoutcubes.com/en/ )
, so the competition is finally happening.
The format is head to head matchups, and on each round the winner of his matchups advances. For the first round, the losers of each round will move the the losers table ( which is basically the same as the normal table ) and the winner of that table will get a place in the semi finals. Finally, the final will have three competitors and there will be a small tournament between the three finalists ( 1vs2, 1vs3 and 2vs3 ).
Only the top 64 based on WCA profile can compete, so if there are more than 64 persons interested, there will be a selection based on WCA results.
If you want to compete, just send me your WCA ID either by DM on speedsolving.com, by DM on Discord ( oriin3393 ) or by email ( [email protected] ), and I will send you an invite to the competition Discord server. Inscriptions to the competitions are free and they are open until June 26.
