My Mini QJ has always been VERY loose. Whenever I did a u2 for example, the top layer (U) would spin 3 or 4 times instead of 2.
I couldn't care less though as I didn't speedsolve cubes other than 3x3. However, I now decided to time my 4x4 solves too starting from today, so I disassembled the QJ to learn a bit more about its inside.
I found only one screw. I took out that screw and I found that I could take the core apart, leaving me with 2 core halves. I couldn't find any other screws so I assembled the core again and decided to screw in the screw all the way till it would no longer move. I then reassembled the cube.
The cube got a little better; for example, I can no longer turn layers by shaking the cube (it was THAT loose before), but I still find it to be quite loose. Seeing as the screw is already screwed in to the max, I don't know how to tighten the QJ even more.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
