Like... Any of the most popular, CFOP, roux, etc. Your choice.
But I'm going to assume you mean "a lot" when you say a thousand.
A beginners method, perhaps?

First up,Welcome to the Forum :)
Well...there are quite a few methods for speedsolving.
If you don't want to rely much on algorithms...I'd reckon you go for the Petrus Method,which is quite intuitive.
However,you'll even have to check out methods like the Fridrich,or the CFOP,for speedsolving.

Algs really aren't that scary you just have to get your head down and learn em one or two at a time. And there isn't thousands of algs to learn at all. if you start off by learning 2 look oll and 2 look pll in the fridrich method then there isn't many to learn. I know 70+ algs and its not that bad. Look at the other methods though such and Petrus and roux, you may prefer them to fridrich.
