Okay I figured I should Tell you guys about the approach I use when solving 6x6x6+ cubes. Now this Approach needs you to know how to solve a 4x4 and a 5x5 but other than that there are NO new algorithms.
Okay this is NOT for speed solving the edges this for people who are only interested in solving the cube (by this I mean it will take you about 30 seconds longer than other ways).
But now thats all aside us there are 2+ steps for solving the edges it depends on how big the cube is.
For Odd numbered cubes:
Okay for this I'm going to assume we're solving a 7x7x7 but it will work for 9x9x9, 11x11x11, 13x13x13, etc.
Step 1: You have 3 different types of edge pieces, Your middle edge pieces, your inner edge pieces, and your outer edge pieces (more on the 9x9x9+). Now For the first step I want you to only look at the middle edge pieces, and the inner edge pieces. Okay now what do you see? It looks awfully similar to a 5x5x5 doesn't it? So you just solve that section like a 5x5x5!
Step 2: Now I want you to look at the next 2 edges from the center plus the ones your already look at, once again solve like a 5x5x5.
Step 3+: Repeat step 2 until whole edge is solved.
For even numbered cubes:
Step 1: Look at the two center most edges, solve them like a 4x4.
Step 2: Move 2 edges out and solve like a 5x5x5.
Step 3+: Repeat step 2 until whole edge is solved.
That's it I didn't really elaborate on even numbers because it was pretty much the same as Odds.
That's it comment on what you think!
Thanks for reading!
