Hello there, I read a few comments that requested me to do a little write up for this video, so here it goes:

“This method is based on Yau method. I did a little modification and applied it on 5x5 instead of 4x4.

CENTER
8EDGES both side ( do not make cross edges first but pay attention to them ,i mean you can do easy case edges before cross edges, you should only make sure that cross edges done when you finish 8 edges both side )
THEN LAST 4 edges on middle pieces
3X3 SOLVE (F2L PLL OLL)

The point of this video is not only about the steps of this method, but more emphasis on how to apply it in different situations, including making detailed decisions, such as, how to set up the center in different cases in order to minimize turning steps, or which column to select to begin solving the cube. "

** I (the thread poster) am not the person who invented this method, but I will be posting threads in my friend's (Huang Jia Jun) stead due to China's limited internet freedom. But if you have any questions, you can leave comments below, or message me, and I will deliver the message to him. If you wish to contact him directly, message me and I can provide his e-mail address. Again all the credits belongs to him, I hope you guys enjoy his works *^-^* **

I am posting threads on my friend's behalf, for he lives in China and has limited internet freedom. I will definitly update this video with a short write-up, if you have any questions you can message me and i will deliver the message to him.

ok so it's basically like yau but you reverse the steps. rather than 3 cross edges then centers, you go centers then cross edges
after it's the same edge pairing.

seems like redux with a bit more restricted initial edge pairing. the thing i like about yau is i can just do outer layer moves without fear of messing up the center because there is no center solved yet, albeit at the price of slightly more restricted moveset while solving centers. this could be useful though so i'm not going to outright bash it and say it sucks, but probably something i personally wouldn't use, however that being said if it works for you, that's all that matters :P

@aznaimedude:

"Yes Yau method is very good for 4x4, and I suggest to keep using it for 4x4. But for 5x5, it's better to practice to examine and observe the edges to reduce pauses. But again every person's brain works differently, so finding the method that suits you the best is mostly important."
