Messed up Rubik's magic

hey,
I got a Rubik's magic a while back, and I actually got pretty good at it-i was down to about 1.3 seconds, but then I messed it up.
I was just starting, but fumbled it. In the course of trying to fix it, I managed to sort of "flip" it. Now the twist move that you do at the beginning only works with the linked ring side facing up, so I can't really solve it.
Has anyone else managed to do this, and if so, how do I fix it?

wow, I've been trying to fix it for days, and I just got it like literally 30 seconds after posting. Go figure...
