Are you using any special memorization technique, or are you just practicing solving the cube hours on end?

I'm having a hard time learning a very long sequence by heart and was hoping for some tips on how to remember all those twists and turns.

I usually cut the alg. into pieces that are easy to execute, e.g. fingertricks like RUR'U'. Then I do the alg. over and over again, so my fingers become familiar w/ it. I know that I can do the alg. when I don't know the moves anymore, but my hands do. I mean that you just do the alg. as one piece not knowing every specific move. I think that's called muscle recognition..

I don't remember where I got this sheet, but is great. Everything is there in an easy-to-remember format. I'm learning from it, take a look, maybe it will help.
What I do is perform the alg several times while reading. Then I look for features in the alg without looking at the sheet (like CE pairs moving around like in an Y perm, or patterns in a face like in an A perm).
Hope this helps you and other people too.

See ya!
