Megaminx Notation

Hey,
I wanted to compete at Weekly Competition - at MegaMinx event, but my problem is, that I don't understand the notation.
I used search function and googled it.

I wondered, why there are only R and D moves (for example R-- D-- R++ D++ and so on.)
I thought, that there are U, LUL, UL, UR, RUR, L, F, R, DL, D and DR moves)

section 12d of the wca regulations might also help you out a bit...though it is kind of confusing.

That's just the scramble notation. It is explained in the WCA regulations.

Yu Nakajima uses R+/R- moves and such in his algorithms on cutex.info. It's just like Rw moves but where R++ indicates a "two-click" move R+ are only a "one-click" move. Also worth noting are BL and BR moves.
