Megaminx corner discussion?

Hey guys,

My brother and I have been arguing about my megaminx, he scrambled it and I tried to solve it. At the end, the whole megaminx was solved, except one corner, the red-white-green which was flipped clockwise. My brother thinks it was just a scramble which should be able to be unscrambled, but I'm convinced accidentally (during the scramble or during the solve) a corner was flipped. Is it possible to solve it or not?

Yes, you are correct - you cannot have a single corner twisted on a megaminx. You came as close to solving it as possible.

how can you flip a piece during a solve or scramble without dismantling the puzzle?

You can't. Unless it's two pieces.

Some of the megaminxes are so loose that it's really easy to just twist the corner in place without taking the puzzle apart at all. My cheap Chinese megaminxes are certainly that way.
