Okay, so I've had my megaminx for a little while and one of the sides unscrew when you turn it counter clockwise. I contacted Mefferts weeks ago and he hasn't replied. Someone told me it was the springs, but that's not it. I tried changing the spring, removing it, making it shorter, but my red side still unscrews at random. Nothing I've done helps. Any suggestions on how to fix this?! It's been broken for 1-2 weeks already.

switch it with another screw and see if it is the screw or if its the hole. if its the screw i would order a new one, and if it is the hole i would put something in there to make it fit tighter. Or maybe it's the center piece having a little spot inside that catches the screw/spring and turns it while you turn.

It would, but if you wanted to tension it again you better make sure you have it as you want it. If it doesn't work, i suggest buying the new mf8 type 2 minx, it's wonderful, and i personally like it more over mefferts.

that stands to reason. i'll see about that. also, i was recently thinking of actually putting superglue in the hole, do you think that would work?

There was an article about this in speedcubing, don't want to find it now though, but you a little superglue on the tip of the screw. WAIT FOR IT TO DRY, then screw it in the core. The reasoning behind this is that the superglue will take up more area and make it tighter. You can still adjust it too, but it'll be harder to turn the screw. There's been a lot of threads about this although it's probably hard to find with the search bar...
