For some reason I can't get this to work, I've tried like five times. I don't even get the blue center in the beginning and if I do the whole solve I end up with a totally scrambled cube?! Is it something wrong with me, or is the scramble/solve messed up. Would like to be able to get some tips from this solve:).

Worked perfectly for me, maybe you just scrambled wrong?

Your cube should look like this:

Watching that solve I can't imagine there is much more to give. Practically perfect. Sub 30 will happen, but it's gonna be hella small increments from here on in. Amazing matz, absolutely amazing.

I noticed in the reconstruction he actually broke the WO edge and remade it. Could have shaved some milliseconds off there!

Faz had a 31.59 Double Parity in World Championships. OLL Parity at 24.xx or so. Nakajima has had a 4 second PLL on a 32.xx as well due to a lockup as some examples. A few others have had similar stuff happen so I wouldn't expect for it to be too far away!
