I usually use inspection to look for my cross then after that I solve all the edges of F2L. After that I insert the corners then orient and permute the edges then permute the corners then orient them using pure twists.

I average around 1:15 with this.

I almost never do it so I don't really use any advanced methods for that. But when I do MTS, I just use keyhole method and the beginner's last layer method Dan Brown teaches.
