2g3) Competitors in the Competitors Area must not communicate with each other about the scrambled states of the puzzles of the round in progress. Penalty: disqualification of the competitor from the event, at the discretion of the WCA Delegate.
They all knew that it was 4th solve, that's all (delegate overreacted imo) + I've heard Maciej couldn't have know anything about the scramble, he was one of the first to solve it. I don't know why everybody assumes that someone told everyone solution.
I hope they count it. That's a horrible way to ruin a world record. The solution is pretty obvious too, especially for someone who's able to get a low 2 average. I don't doubt that he would've seen it anyway.
And, is what the person who talked about the scramble did any worse than what happened in Rami's case? Unless he/she said loudly to the entire room that it's a sledgehammer, I don't know what makes it worse (although the person should still be banned). My best guess is that they gave people replacement scrambles just in case, and they'll probably revert back to the actual times if the board decides that they should.
