Would Cork Grease be a good lubricant? I play tenor saxaphone, and cork grease is used as a lubricant for where the mouthpiece goes on. Has anyone ever used this?

My mom doesn't even think that a cube needs to be lubed, let alone let me buy something to lube it with :-[
I'm just trying to work with what I got XD

So is it good or bad? I put it in, And it shaved down my time by about 40 seconds.

Here is the list of times I recorded when I first got my cube. I went to my grandmas, came hime, put the cork grease in, then recorded the last two.

Hi!

I don't know about saxophone grease but my trumpet uses oil. One friend told me that it should make my cube faster and so on, so I opened my cube and lubed it with my trumpet oil. Later (5 min) my cube was a DISASTER! When I wanted to solve it, then it slowed my times about 3 MINUTES (otherwise it would be somewhere 1 minute). The problem was that the oil went between the "little cubes" and it some why slowed it. Although I put it only on the middle piece (bursa ? :D ). So keep away from trumpet oil (all wind instruments with slides use it) everybody when lube-ing.

// btw - Later I had to clean all the pieces one by one because my cube was like a brick - not moveing.

Oh...
I thought cork grease was petroleum based. It felt oily like petroleum. By the way does anyone here know if valve oil is good for cubes?

Hey I live in the Netherlands
Recently I bought an F-II and the lube inside of it is kinda gone so I want to spray it.
I have my very old Rubik's cube which I vaseline'd it a long time ago then used WD-40. Today it's a really smooth cube after lots of breaking in and get avg of 60 sec's on it.

So does anyone live in the Netherlands and know a good lubricant? I can't seemfind Jigaloo or CRC, I only found WD-40, SILICONE72 and Griffon HR260.

Has anyone tried SILICONE72? It looks like CRC manufactures it.
