Lubix Zhanchi vs Regular Dayan Zhanchi

Since I started using silicone as lubricant I have been putting less and less in each successive cube I assemble, because less is definitely more, particularly on the internal faces, if you want to minimise the gummy. I use a tiny amount on the washers, springs and screws, just enough so they can rotate without being 'sticky' and to lube the cubies I get some silicone on my fingers, rub it in and handle the pieces. When you can see smeared fingerprints on the internals, you have lubed enough. This is particularly relevant to the Zhanchi, I find.

Just got my zhanchi today from lubix and I love it. It took awhile to get used to because it is a different feel than the lunhui but after one solve the gummy feeling isn't there. I am completely impressed and eager to "break it in". Hope this helps.

dont worry about the gummy feeling it will go away or not even be there. A way to fix it is just to add a drop or 2 of maru lube and that speeds it right up. I idnt find the factory lube to be sufficient on the Zhanchi i had to add lubix to make it good plus doing the 48 point edge mod. My only problem is mine isnt perfectly tensioned which is the only downfall right now

I just got my regular dayan zhanchi and it is amazing out of the box. Quick question how do you get the peices out because the torpedos make it hard to take them out?

pull apart the 2 adjacent corners of an edge piece then twist the edge out, but if you are feeling tough and wanna get rough then just pull out a corner and then take the edge out.
