A friend of mine wants me to teach her how to solve the cube, but she doesn't seem to be interested in being fast or anything like that, so I came up with a very basic method that could still transition into Fridich very easily. Just looking for opinions on if I need to change anything, although I think it's all been done before.

Step 1: Cross
Same cross with pretty much any LBL method, intuitive.

Step 2: First layer
Solve the first layer corners by putting them above where it needs to go, then using sexy move until it solves.

Step 3: Second layer
Solve second layer edges by making sure they're in the top layer, then matching it with its corresponding center piece on the right face. Then use R'U'R'U'R'URUR (move forward) or RURURU'R'U'R' (move back) to solve. Like badmephisto's.

Step 4: Orient LL edges
Orient edges with F sexy move F' or f sexy move f'. Basic.

Step 5: Orient LL corners
Something I don't think I've seen before. Flip over the cube (x2) and use sexy move and D moves to orient corners. This is similar to the R'D'RD, but faster and easier to remember (lots of sexy moves :D).

Step 6: Permute LL corners
Use A(b) to solve last corners. Hold headlights on right, or hold any way with no headlights. (I use x' [R2 D2] [R U R'] D2 [R U' R])

Step 7 (final): Permute LL edges
Use U(b) to solve edges. (I use R2 U [R U R' U'] R' U' [R' U R'])

Tried to make it simple as possible (lots of sexy move, few algs) but also possible to be fast. Any suggestions?

I wonder why.

Basically, just teach them LBL. Or CF. I love teaching people CF. Also, if they seem very knoledgable, try teaching them Human Thistlethwaite.

Here is my beginner's method:

1. Cross

2. 3/4 F2L slots

3. Intuitively orient yellow cross using the unfinished slot.

4. Insert last pair. (Does not mess up yellow cross)

5. Use an edge 3-cycle to permute the yellow cross.

6. Use a corner 3-cycle to permute the corners.

7. Use R U R' U' to orient the corners.

Very intuitive. only uses three algorithms.

Why don't you use 3LOLL instead of doing the sexy move so many times?
After the cross, you do mostly 2 sunes/antisunes and there's your OLL.
