Try scrambling and solving with only L and U. You can also mirror some of your normal algorithms so they are done on the left instead of the right (e.g. L' U' L U L F' L2' U L U L' U' L F) and practice those.

i actually started ambidextrous, as in i was too lazy to learn mirrored cases so i just mirrored the algorithm.
in my beginner method, the sexy move was R' D' R D and i just did the exact same thing upside down, getting me L' U' L U which is my current sexy move cause i changed all my algs to left handed. not cause i planned to, but cause my left hand ended up getting faster than my right hand.
i'm left handed cubing, right handed normally.
what i'm trying to say is just mirror a bunch of your algs.
