Hey friend, what's up?

Okey, so I made this thread to give some ideas/links/etc for some newer ppl, and just for self to see how much I have progressed This thread will be only about CFOP, with time I'll try to make it full CFOP guide (for now only links to things I like) This might be helpful for beginners and for some experienced speedcubers looking for some ideas to help selves. Ofc pls correct every single mistake here (grammar&my solves). Let's go!

Cross
F2L
OLL
PLL
Method also known as Fridrich method is method which is very commonly used by speedcubers. It is easy, algorithmic and can be really nice. Even if ZZ and Roux should have more fans...

Start&Switching to CFOP
If you are new to speedcubing or you just want to switch methods from Petrus for example this might be helpful
First thing you should do is PRACTICE NO MATTER WHAT. If you are switching from LBL method (Layer by layer) CFOP is just extension of that.

CROSS
As a new CFOPer you should do cross with 10 moves or less, try to do it on D layer too. Even if this is hard and you are used to cross on U do it. If you are struggling with that you might try cross on L as a transition to D layer. Cross is hardest thing in hole CFOP, so don't be upset, if it goes wrong. Other thing about CFOP cross is fact that you make it directly to cross center (not opposite) also you should make it well-permuted at start.
:)
Tips

F2L
Just learn intuitive F2L, at start the variant where, you need to orient your cross color to be facing U face is totally okey. Remember though to do not stay with this type of F2L for long amount of time. Your times are worse with F2L? No problem, just practice.
Some good tutorials:
badmephisto [1/2]
badmephisto [2/2]
CBC, I like it too
PL tuts:
Sajwo
Ofc with time I'll ad more links.

OLL&PLL=LL
As a begginer just learn 4LLL (4 look last layer), so 2 look OLL and 2 look PLL
I can't say much about it, just drill alg, do it 100x repeat
Algs:
Dot: (FRUR' U' F') (fRUR' U' f')
Line: F(RUR'U')F'
Peak: F(URU'R')F'
When (yellow, if cross color is white) cross is done:
H: R U2 R' U' R U R' U' RU' R' (sune combo)
setup: R U2 R' U' R U R' U' RU' R' U'

Pi: (R U2 R2 U') (R2 U') (R2 U2 R)
setup: R U2 R2 U' R2 U' R2 U2 R

Sune: R U R' U R U2 R'
setup: R U2 R' U' R U' R'

Antisune: R U2 R' U' R U' R'
setup: R U R' U R U2 R'

L: x' (R U' R' D R U R' D')
setup: x' (R U R' D R U' R' D' F)

U: R2 D' R U2 R' D R U2 R
setup: R U2 R D R' U2 R D' R2 U2

T: r U R' U' r' F R F'
setup: F R' F' r u R U' r'

I like that algs.
Helpful vid :)

For 2look PLL I would I use:
Aa perm: x R' U R' D2 R U' R' D2 R2
or T perm: R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U' R U R' F'
Y perm: F R U' R' U' R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R F'
Ua perm: M2 U M U2 M' U M2 (bar on back)
Ub perm: M2 U' M U2 M' U' M2 (bar on back)
H perm: M2 U' M2 U2 M2 U' M2
Z perm: y M2' U' M2' U' M' U2' M2' U2' M'
Same vid
Rubik's cube notation:over here/
Alg database: http://algdb.net/
End.

Improvement time
So if you already know things mentioned higher, maybe you don't know those:

CROSS
Well, doing cross on D should be easy for you now. Do it in 8 moves or less. Try colour neutriality (CN), so basically solve cross on every color.
If, you think you are ready learn how to do xcross or how to use keyhole for xcross Do not give yourself inspection time, maybe try to see your first pair.

F2L
Most important etap in CFOP is F2L, train it most. Try to improve your F2L:
Learn how to lookahead: here or here
Learn advanced F2L:here, here, everywhere. It is so important, that I suggest learning nothing else for at least a week just to master it.
Watch all Collin's vids about F2L here and here
Well F2L is so important, that do it again, then repeat
PS:Cross to F2L transition is a thing

LL
Full PLL
If done Full OLL. Just do it. (PLL->OLL)
Maybe learn I am going to help evry single person, who wants to learn it It is great, you can predict AUF before PLL and make less possible cases for PLL. In my opinion really handy. DO IT!!

I will definitely extend this (algs, sites etc), not today, but still..
I want to make this place a great central for CFOP knowledge. We'll see.
Last part is going to be extended REALLY much. Next update: next weekend

I hope it helped you, normally I would blog it, but I can't.

My goal is to make it good for everybody :)

See ya!

This part is autodeleting lol

1LLL
Maaaany algs, so hard to learn, skips PLL every time, I would say, if it can be learnt, and done fast it is worth it.

ZBLL
Subset of 1LLL. If EO is done correctly you can skip PLL. Learnable, reco can suck in a fact of s/as but it is okey.

2GLL
2gen LL. Subeset of ZBLL. Worth to learn, especially for OH fans.

Line
1LLL subset. If you can see 3x1x1 block in OLL, you skip PLL. I will learn it, reco is nice, algs even better.

Tripod
1LLL subset. If you can see 2x2x1 block in OLL, you skip PLL. Ammmm, now I have no opinion on it

OLLCP
OLL+CP Many algs reco, can suck algs suck, far from not worth it.

COLL
Subset of OLLCP, if EO done. Well great subset (maybe not s/as) You skip more often, nice algs, EPLL algs are great themselves soooo...

LSCP
While inserting last slot, doing CP. If EO done 2GLL to end.

VHLS
While inserting last slot doing EO.

ZBF2L
While doing last slot doing EO. Many cases, this + ZBLL = future

OLS
If last pair needs to go to RF spot, skip OLL

VLS
OLS for Pair solvable with R U' R', force OLL skip. Nice thing to know, I will learn it.

HLS
OLS for Pair solvable with R U R', force OLL skip. Not worth it at all.

WV
VLS if EO done.

Magic Wondefull
No 'r', works like sledge, but skips XD

SV
Summer variation, not because it is oposite to WV, guy who invited it was named like this. HLS when EO done.

ROLL
I am going to help evry single person, who wants to learn it It is great, you can predict AUF before PLL and make less possible cases for PLL. In my opinion really handy. DO IT!!

Firstly tell me how to do it in one post...

Also it is going to be more about: "what after full CFOP"...
No no. I will be making for CFOP as well as after CFOP. Still in plans so not much I can say haha but you can do it in one post. I will playlist the videos so you can do it in 2-3 links ;)

Well, maybe, cause I got difficulties with understanding you. If I only will learn how to understand your accent, probably: no problem. Mostly depends on content tho. Keep making it!

Ahh, yeah. Accent is kinda not the common accent you hear in cubing videos. Its alright, I am still improving :)
