How will this affect North Korea?

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — Kim Jong Il, North Korea's mercurial and enigmatic leader whose iron rule and nuclear ambitions for his isolated communist nation dominated world security fears for more than a decade, has died. He was 69.
Kim's death was announced Monday by the state television from the North Korean capital, Pyongyang.
Kim is believed to have suffered a stroke in 2008 but he had appeared relatively vigorous in photos and video from recent trips to China and Russia and in numerous trips around the country carefully documented by state media. The communist country's "Dear Leader" — reputed to have had a taste for cigars, cognac and gourmet cuisine — was believed to have had diabetes and heart disease.

From Here.

From what I've heard his son, who is meant to take over rule in North Korea, is a bigger psychopath than he was. Won't that be fun.

Did you know that Kim Jong-Il's father (Kim Il-sung) is the real ruler of North Korea, and he will remain in that postion presumably until the dictatorship ends? He's got the title of 'Eternal President'.
I feel sorry for the people who are trapped in that country.

With the new ruler only being ~27 years old we have a future canditate for longest ruling dictator...

I hope this insipires the people of North Korea to start a revolution.
But in this Sŏn'gun setting this may be a very tough process....
