[WR] Kevin Hays 5:38 2-7 Relay

I'm always getting so hyped when new relay world records get set, I don't know why. :)

Aahhgg! On the one hand he does 2-7 about a minute faster than a good 6x6 time for me. More significantly, that spring noise on 6 and 7!

Interestingly I've never seen this mentioned before, but the 'spring noise' is what happens when you edit the video with certain video editing software and it compresses the audio in some way that causes that noise. I've had this happen to a few of my videos and it's really annoying.

If you were good at one looking 2x2 and 2x2/3x3 OH, could you save time by figuring out your 2x2 during inspection and then solving it OH while doing 3x3 OH?

Um... That sounds slower. 2x2 and 3x3 aren't very important anyway, biggest time saves will be from bigger cubes.

Naturally, but these are things I get curious about. Also, it wouldn't necessarily be slower. There are people who are either faster than 2H or very similar times with OH (fast people), and people have likewise achieved fast times with 2x2OH, I imagine it would cut about 50% of your standard 2x2 time off your total time for the relay if you were in this bracket of people who are relatively good at 3x3 and 2x2 OH

For Kevin at least, I think it would be slower. Assuming he averages 4 for 2x2 and 9 for 3x3, he'd need to get a sub 13 3x3 OH single, while also doing 2x2 OH.

Doing one cube with his non dominant OH hand would be super difficult and inefficient. Also, for me I can't focus properly on each cube while solving two cubes simultaneously, so this just wouldn't work, for anybody.

Antoine could probably do it, all he practices is OH :p

EDIT: just realized that none of his solves were sub-WR yet he still got the record
