Hello everyone,
I have been able to solve a cube for a few years now. I was taught by a friend of mine via the "keyhole method" I am currently averaging 1:08. Recently i got into cutting my times down, before last month or so i was averaging ~1.35, i bought myself a zhanchi and a few shengshou big cubes 4x4 and 5x5 (already had rubiks versions...and those may be the 2 worst pieces of plastic ever... anyway I have been working on the fridrich method of solving but i find that using my normal keyhole for the F2L is still my fastest way. I am planning on using the fridrich method for the last layer though. Does anyone else do this?
Also, my times probably wont ever get ridiculously low since i am missing 2 fingers on my right hand (the hand that does most of the turning) so no fancy finger tricks.
I have also successfully tried my hand at modding when i made a true Siamese cube out of 2 DIYs. I made it the good way where you cut 2 edges and then glue them together instead of removing 2 rows, so the 2 cubes only share 1 row instead of the 2 rows that you see all over youtube.
my averages and PBs
3x3
average of 5: 1:08
PB : 0.49
4x4
average of 5: 4:55
PB: 3:45
5x5
average of 5: 7:50
PB: 6:50
That is all.
