If you are racing him it doesn't mean you need to watch his content or something like that, it's just a boost in your motivation, and I didn't meant it in a mean way, I was just trying to see if you would think twice
Edit: if he would post the same videos, idk if he could beat you, but also Idk how much you can grow, like you didn't get any new subs in the last week or so

Yeah I’ve gained 11 subs in the past month but I’ve lost 8 also

I made what I consider mildly interesting cubing videos, 27 of them, and got 120 or so subs before I stopped. I was pretty surprised how many people subscribed given I consider my own videos to be boring.
Even if it was long-winded boring videos, I think the videos were sufficiently distinct from other cubing channels (most focus on solves, algs, unboxings) that some people found it worth watching.

I made what I consider mildly interesting cubing videos, 27 of them, and got 120 or so subs before I stopped. I was pretty surprised how many people subscribed given I consider my own videos to be boring.
Even if it was long-winded boring videos, I think the videos were sufficiently distinct from other cubing channels (most focus on solves, algs, unboxings) that some people found it worth watching.

I upload daily but the problem is I’m losing too many subs, every time I gain a sub I lose one too.

One thing I saw you can do to get some ideas, is to take a piece of paper or an app where you can draw, and write cubing in the middle, then make some bubbles around it with things you could talk about cubing, like news, challenges, tutorials, road to x, solves, and from each you write more bubbles for each, like for road to x, write road to NR, road to sub x on event x, road to comp win, road to national champion, and from each make more bubbles, like from road to NR, make a video where you find an NR you could break, or road to pyra NR, and make it a series, and from this go even more, from NR for pyra, say what you could do to make it, like learn full L4E, learn to 1 look, but some pyras and see which is the best and set it up and so on until you have way too many ideas or concepts, you obviously won't do all of them, but just make A LOT and then choose which you could do and want to, but just write ANYTHING, even if you can't do it, it's good to have all of them in 1 place
