Hi all,
Jack, Scottish, old.
My average is around 35 seconds.
Joined because I basically don't know anybody that's interested in speedsolving and would love to pick some brains.
Currently I'm using CFOP ish, with 2 look OLL and PLL. I'm pretty used to that method now, and am ready to learn the next step. Is it worth learning full PLL first since there are less algorithms, or should I take OLL first in steps?
Also, I'm not solving very fast atm so am open to changing methods. Reading the thread about methods for beginners I noticed lots of members saying they wished they had started on Roux. That was 2009 though, do people still feel that way?
Thirdly, how important is colour neutrality? I may be slow but I've practiced a few simple methods a lot, so am pretty set in my ways, and flummoxed when it comes to changing from the white cross. Would dual neutrality be a compromise (Much more easily achievable for me)? Or does it really just depend on how quick my cross is anyway?
Thanks,
Jack :tu
