Is my 4x4x4 method odd?

I'm watching Dan Brown's video on how to solve the 4x4x4.

When he gets to the part where he says "Just solve it like normal now"
I solve the green cross (expanded for the 4x4x4) then F2L (F3L?)
THEN for the last layer, I use badmephisto's 2look OLL's and 2look PLL's and I make sure that I don't split any edge pairs.
FINALLY, If parity is involved, I do the algorithm.

So, Is my method odd?

That's pretty normal, but the logic behind that is weird.
