hey guys, i heard frm some ppl that it is worth to be colour neutral 4x4 but frm the other ppl that it is not worth. so can i ask for some of ur opinions if it is worth it to be colour neutral on 4x4?

CN on the 4x4 is a bit different from CN on 3x3. In 4x4, you can just do CN centers (start with any center), and do 3x3 stage from the color you normally do. Or if you are using Yau, you can do CN, and mid-solve you can decide which cross edges and cross colour solve do you want to do.

I guess it is worth it, but requires a ton more practice to get used to CN 4x4.

It depends if you use Redux or Yau. If you use Yau, it’s not necessary, but it could make your solves better in the long run. If you use Redux, then you need to switch to Yau; it’s not even worth becoming CN if you are going to switch eventually anyway.
yep i use yau for all the NxN cubes

It is definitely good to be CN on 4x4, as it gives you more flexibility with your first center. It also makes your 3x3 stage faster, especially because you have no inspection, so any cross pieces being solved is a plus.
okay but its gonna be difficult to do it coz i have to memorise the positions but i gotta do it :D

okay but if i mid solve and i decide which cross edges and colour i shld do wld waste q a bit time coz u are basically doing inspection during a solve but thanks!

thanks all for ur opinions!
