TL;DR: The Yuxin Little Magic is a great, stable puzzle that can corner cut really well. Would recommend if you can handle a lot of scratches on the cube and aren't pressured with relubing.
Story about my Pyra journey:
I made a post around 3 years ago detailing if I should buy the Yuxin Little Magic or the the Weilong. I opted to for the Weilong.
Ever since then, I broke multiple PR's, the first of which was a 4.63 single and it kept on getting better from there. I started to average High 4 to low 5 late 2024 to early 2025 and by my next competition, I got a 3.91 average, the first average I did without using LBL (my previous PR was 6.27).
Fast forward, my Weilong is around almost a 3 year old cube and I probably needed an upgrade. During NAC 2026, I decided to buy my first little magic. This will be my review and if it's still worth it even after 5 years...
REVIEW:
OOTB, this cube feels very sandy and really just the trademarks of a budget cube. I decided to set it up in the comp but I stripped a screwhead in the process so my Steven's setup wasn't perfect. Hopefully I can find a way to get another one and I can be able to do an Ezra mod on it. Steven's setup on this puzzle was very straightforward, just add weight 5.
I've had problems with the Weilong being really tight and not being able to corner cut that well. Even if I loosen it, it feels very unstable. The tips weren't greatest either for the Weilong but I did the washer mod and that fixed the problem of bad weilong tips.
With the Little Magic, I loved it once I set it up. The turning was immaculate and the tips felt really good in the hands. Maybe I got some +2's with the tips sometimes but it mostly felt good. I noticed I average probably a little bit faster than the Weilong, around sub-3 so I can see why some people use this cube rather than the weilong. I would say, some downsides are that you have to lube it very often because they can become "dead" very quickly. (lube dries up and it's sluggish). It's also a budget puzzle so expect a lot of scratches on the puzzle from the factory. I never tried the original "old" batch. I know that it might be better but I still think the YLM is a decent option today imo. Modding is a big thing also for the cube but I'm pretty sure this cube can work well even without doing the "Ezra" mod. At some point, I should do it.
Overall, I would give it a 9/10. If you have the time to relube and you are seriously thinking about getting a good pyra, the Yuxin Little Magic Pyra M is a great option!!!
If you are really thinking about which pyra you should get, both the YLM and WeiLong are decent. Just choose one and I'm pretty sure you will be happy with it

My Main for Pyraminx is the MFJS MeiLong Pyraminx. I was thinking about getting new puzzles a while ago and was thinking about getting a 2x2 or 4x4 and now I am thinking about getting a New Pyraminx
I looked at a lot of options on Pyraminx and I found that the Yuxin Little magic Pyraminx M is really good since I'm on a tight budget and trying to buy something that is cheap. Should I buy it or is there more options I should consider?
