Is it okay to hand-scramble in certain scenarios?

I'm hurt by this statement
I'm hurt by being slapped with a calculator
And now I'm crazy
Crazy? I was crazy once.
They put me in a rubber room
A rubber room with rats
Rats make me crazy
Crazy? I was crazy once.
They put me in a rubber room
And what the heck you're still reading this what are you even doing
Go eat a crab or something
Make sure to top it off with Tartar sauce, but only the Arby's kind plz so you can share it with me
Sad puppy eyes
hm hm
That didn't sound like a sad puppy but you get my point
You know what just go to Burger King and get me a Big Mac or something
Anyway why am I still typing? I'm just going to hit the submit bu

I had to hand scramble for the past 3 weeks because I got grounded from my phone and computer. Although I guess it didnt really matter since I couldnt time my solves either.
My solution: calculator and stackmat
Works every time
Then I just type it in on csTimer later :P

You stole my joke!!!!!
grrrr

I use my calculator to time OH solves. Every hundredth of a second, i press +0.01= while solving the rubiks cube with the other hand.
That works but it doesn't lol
I used to time my solves with my calc but since it didn't have an internal clock like the 84+ models, it would end up being off by about 1 second per "minute"-- good for smaller solves, but detrimental to stuff like 7x7. It ran automatically though which is good

To quote WCA regulation 4g and 4g1: 4g: “After scrambling a puzzle, the scrambler must verify that the puzzle is scrambled correctly. If the puzzle state is wrong, the scrambler must correct it (e.g. by solving the puzzle and applying the scramble sequence again).” And 4g1 says: “Exception: For the 6x6x6 Cube, 7x7x7 Cube, and Megaminx, it is not necessary to correct the puzzle state, at the discretion of the WCA Delegate”
So yeah I think if the cube is visibly very scrambled and doesn’t just have blocks and centers hanging around, I think you’re good.

huh
never heard of that one

I've actually given myself the exact same scramble twice on 3x3 while doing hand scrambles lol. I found the exact same solution, and by the end I was starting to question reality 🤣
I've given myself a scramble over 11 times now. I have the solution down to memory. 3 move cross, setup 4th move for free pair, all other pairs are hard to explain, dot case into Jb perm.

How did you do that? It's cool yo.
TI-BASIC is the coding language that a lot of Texas Instruments calculators use. I use a program I made myself called CubeTI 1.0, which guides users through a menu system to their event, then it gives them a scramble, and then there's a screen to input their times into a list for that event, after which the cycle starts all over again until they press the break key (in this case it's the ON key).
