Is inspection time too long or too short in your opinion?

Alright this is not jared but anyway you just do whatever glu want keep 15 seconds for competitions sue me but you know just maybe and maybe if you are competitive and want to make custom events especially like my 1×1 just do under 15s and brathahahs i think 15 seconds for wcq js good because it allows like analyzing where the pieces go but jf your competition or whatever it mkght be is more focused on reconginatize quickly and without much inspection do under 15

You plan the first center. It is so stinking easy. The rest is just tracking. Also crazy easy.

Not really for really big cubes like 6*×6 unless you are sigma (you are) but some people would also inspect more pieces like the yau method like the white edges and other middle centers too so yea

Ok. Centers are individual pieces that make up a group and have only one color.
Small cubes do not have this and tracking is difficult to me.

Ok! Sure bro. I will just be crazy fast with my inspection time. I honestly am fine if you guys prefer longer times, but I like to do mine as fast as possible, and I can just start sooner!

Accident so basically what if we used 4×4 as a 3×3 like i always scramble my 4×4 as a 3×3 because my 3×3 is kinda yk and I hwt bored kf hsing jt anyway so whlw much inspection time can I get would it be the same as 3×3 or 4×4 because technically the cube js big and stuff

It functions as a 3x3 and therefore is considered a 3x3 puzzle. This does not change inspection time for it. It is still 15 second inspection time.

Should we keep it at 15 seconds, or would you prefer a change? Let me know what amount you would want and why (pls don't make it unreasonably long).
I personally would just keep it at 15 seconds just cause it seems like a fair amount, and having to change the rule would be a hassle and potentially discount all other wr's. Mby you could get more/less depending on the cube?

Just because you use 4 seconds of inspection for big cubes doesn’t mean the inspection time should be limited to 4 seconds

I feel like people forget that they can use any amount of seconds within 15 secs. 15 secs of inspection ≠ you have to inspect for 15 secs

I still wish we had gone with no inspection from the very start of cubing. There would be no problem with old records and we would be counting the total time required to solve the puzzle. Mentally, you start solving the puzzle as soon as you start to see it, so I think inspection time should count as solving time. But since records already exist, it seems like there's no way back, and besides, it seems like almost no one else agrees with me.

I know why it was never happen (because of issues relating to cube orientation that we somehow don't seem to care about when it comes to 3BLD) but we should eliminate inspection entirely. Fast, efficient inspection is a skill and should be rewarded as such.

My 3x3 no inspection time is 12.34 seconds. And with one hand it is 19.15 seconds.
How is that for no inspection?

part of this is the time that you put your hands on the timer is still inside of your inspection. I would feel super uncomfortable if i didn't have more than 10 seconds to look at the cube AND start the timer
