i wanted to know how far should we see during the inspection time?

The given time is 15 secs. Ususually when I inspect, I look for the entire cross and solve. Others may look for the cross+ a corner to track or the first F2L pair.

Depends. Usually, I don't use all 15 seconds, so I just plan out the cross. If I'm really serious about inspection, I'll plan out either the cross + F2L or an X-cross.

If I'm a bit more serious I plan a corner as well. ~12 sec
And if I'm very serious I plan out cross + the entire first pair ~12-15 sec

The most time I look for 2 or 3 cross edges, if I do the whole cross I've need full 15 seconds or more, I should practice more.

I generally give myself unlimited inspection to just practice planning it out in my head, but when I actually do go by 15 seconds I find it to be plenty of time to plan the cross at least, if I'm being serious about it. I'm beginning to get into the habit of finding the first corner as well.

I guess it depends on how fast you can locate everything and plan it out.

I plan out cross and while doing cross I track the edge for the F2L pair (since I usually track the corner before), so about 5-10 sec for inspection.

not really sure why, but I always rush too much. I rarely use more than ~5 seconds of inspection, so I never plan more than just the cross.
