I've started cubing about a month ago after I watched some vids on youtube, looked for my old one (had one lying around for years), luped it up with some vaseline & started solving it.

I've got a 1:30 average at the moment, and I'm going to look into Fridrich to increase this time, now I was wondering what the best way to handle it was?

Intuitive F2L, learn all of the algs, learn only PLL/OLL algs, ... Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I started 1 month ago aswell, I learnt fridich a week or two in and I learnt it like this. First I learned the T Perm and the Y Perm, I then solved the cube a few times by solving f2l intuitively and just the T/Y Perm for the PLL. I then printed out the sheet of all 21 PLL algorithms and worked through them.

It took me about 2 weeks to learn all 21 PLLs but sometimes I have to look back an make sure I'm about to perform the correct one.

Now I practice me F2L, usually by trying to solve it fast but I've tried the metronome technique. When I feel I'm ready I'll learn the OLL algorithms (I only know 4 at the moment)

I learned the Petrus and Roux method but I'm slow at those. ^^

Definitely work on the F2L stage. It's all well and good to say it should be intuitive but if your intuitive method is somewhat slow it might be worth looking at how other people do it. I find that stage alone takes up 50% of my solve time :-/
