Awesome average!

Taiwanese cuber Hsuan Chan currently holds the world record for both single and average of 5x5.

The average is weird though - look at the white 5x5 throughout the solves.....

Video Description:

1:15.97, 1:16.11, (1:12.00), [1:20.71], 1:16.71
= Average 1:16.26

3rd P lucky
5th can be faster :(
check it !! It should be 1:13

No music is bad .....
Anyway, enjoy it :D

I doubt he'd be cheating so obviously..there's probably a reason behind that..and if he'd taken his best 5 solves he would've most likely got a better time than 1:20

If you think he's not cheating, these are consecutive solves, and he shouldn't have 5 seperate parts of the video. Why would he do that if he's not cheating? Because he practises with the other 5x5 in between? I don't believe so.

BTW, is this legal? The regulations say every face must show one solid color in solved state. His white core piece is actually black, with a white logo. It is used with black stickers. When it is used with white stickers I think it's not allowed by the WCA.

The rule about the solid color in solved state is about stickers, not the actual cube. And 1 logo is allowed

I meant the stickers. I should have used "stickers" instead of "pieces".
The center sticker is black. The stickers around it are white. Simple as that. The logo on the center sticker is white, but the background color is simply black. I know one logo is allowed. But the logo can't change the base color of the sticker. If that logo wasn't there the sticker is black. The rest is white. It's not allowed. But that's my opinion, so the judges should decide.
