How to solve 4-layer dodecahedron prism (or whatever it's called)

Hi everyone! Does anyone know how to solve the puzzle on the left of this picture? If possible, please provide some specific algorithms or at least some intuitive way to do a couple of commutators or something, so that I can understand exactly how to solve it. Thanks! =)

PS. I know it's like a square-1 puzzle, but square-1 is rather constrained in turning axes and stuff like that, so...
