How to prevent core-misalignments on a Maru 4x4x4?

My Maru is always getting misalignments

PM chris bird? i think i remember him mentioning something about the little inner pieces jiggling around and come loose and gluing something or other^^ let me know if you do find out

MARU 4x4 will come out of alignment if you force the 2x2 center to cut-corner. please tighten or practice your fingertricks.

I've never had a misalignment. I was just very careful with it when I first got it, because the inner slices seemed very rough. Now that is it well broken in, I can be normal with it. When I got it at US Nationals 2010, it was right before 4x4 first round. Because I wanted to be careful with it, I thought it would slow my times down if I used it in competition. I used my old 4x4, mini QJ, for the 4x4 event, and got a PB average of 5.
