a tip made by a beginner.. for beginners.

how to improve speed.... by at least 15 secs with minimal effort.

Learn the Fridrich F2L (First Two Layers). The tut that I LOVED was here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=RtBLFPwwjG0

here's PROOF:

with corners-edges F2L method, my avrg time of 5 is 1:25.53
after using Fridrich F2L for 3 days, my avrg time of 5 is 1:08.48

additional note: my fridrich F2L is REALLY slow. So if I improve, + get a DIY cube, i can get a LOT faster!! :)

good luck.

Actually I got my best times with my basic LBL method (see sig), and now that I am learning f2l (About 4 days now) my average is about 55 seconds to a minute.

It will take some time to get better at a new method, of course.

I'm just slow with LBL first 2 layers. (pb = 55.49)

Now I've got this universal LL crutch :/

PMed you.

lol yeah I need to practice more :P and my last layer takes me FOREVER now. Like at best, 25 seconds. And I don't know why lol. I guess I'll have to learn a new method :D

You should watch Erik's video, it basically explains all the F2L cases.

lol I watched like 10 videos on how to do f2l. And I read a bunch of guides. And I got like 2 of my friends to explain it to me xD

EDIT: Erik's video was awesome, it actually went quite in depth and helped explain things really well. The other one that stuck out to me was the one by badmephisto (I think he actually had two...), again it explained a lot and helped me understand much better.
