How to get rid of plastic bend in cubes

SO have you ever dropped your cube and had that nasty, white bend in the plastic?
Well I found this video on how to get rid of them, but I am not sure if it will damage the outer plastic or not.

Tell me how it goes if anyone tries it.

TL;DW: heat it up with a frikin BLOW TORCH
