My dad taught me this about an hour ago and so far it is an excellent technique. Instead of scraping off your stickers then trying to wash off the glue left behind, here is a better way:

1. Freeze your cube for approximately 2 minutes
2. Take your cube out of the freezer and carefully and slowly peel off the stickers. Try to do this without fragmenting each sticker. Peel them off as a whole piece.

This will leave little to no residue on the cube and thus no cleaninup!

In my opinion, it is worthless. For one, it will eventually screw up your stickers, and two, it takes longer to peel off stickers than it does to solve it the normal way ;)

Isn't the reason why you are peeling them off because the stickers have become worthless already? And it is probably the same amount of time because afterward you still need to clean off the extra gunk, so at least this way you just peel them off and you are done.

I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds cool. When I need to take my stickers off and put new ones on I'll probably do something like this but once I'm done I'll use an adhesive cleaner, that stuff gets stickers off perfectly.

Sorry dchan, I read the post wrong originally. Now I realize that we are discussing the effectiveness of peeling off worthless stickers, haha. When I peel mine off, I just peel them off. Any extra gunk on it might just help the next set stick.

hah. I am lazy I see.. but I love my scrape rite from cubesmith. it really works well. and even takes off the sticker in one piece plus the glue. :) couldnt be better

When I try to take off the sticker with the Scrape-Rite, all the adhesive stays there. ><
What I do is scrape a corner off, and then pull off the sticker with my fingers.

Very little adhesive remains.
