With 2 young kids I don't get any dedicated practice time. I just solve while doing other things. That's why I'm so slow and why I don't know enough algs. I do have a bit of time off this Christmas so I'm hoping to find time to learn 3BLD.

I practice 30-60 minutes per week spread out here and there. When I was in college and still competitively fast, I made it a goal of mine the fall semester of 2005 (just before Worlds 2005) to practice at least 4 hours per day. The few months before Worlds 2011 I practiced about 2 hours per day.

Practice time is a pretty fluid thing and changes over time with your level of free time and your commitment/competitiveness in your best events. If you feel like you're not practicing enough, then you probably aren't so practice more. If you feel like you're practicing too much, then you probably are so practice less. If you're in the Goldilocks zone and are practicing the right amount, then that's great :)

All you have you do is just stop deleting yoir solves after each session. If you do 15 solves a day, you'll have over over 100 by the end of the week.
Some people don't view averages done over multiple days as valid. While I disagree with this all of my PB's are in one sitting as I almost always do more than 100 solves in a session even for 4x4

Oh. I just consider say like an ao100 as the times for the last 100 timed solves you have done. I often do 3x3 ao100s in one sitting too though. I do big cubes over many days. I understand now :)

When i think i'm fast enough at an event,i choose to practice less coz i still have lots of other masks to do in life, but gotta practice everyday, nonstop.
I try up to 5 attempts for 4bld in a day, sometimes only one,but what i must do is keeping trying at least one attempt every day so that i won't get slower
