According to a report by Reuters, only 25 percent of smartphone buyers as a whole planned to stick with the operating system of their current phone, compared to 59 percent of iPhone users.

Interesting figure. Makes one wonder whether it has anything to do with hardware, or simply brand imaging… What do you think?

It’s widely known that Apple’s strength is how it manages its brand. They keep it simple, minimalistic and stylish, which got picked up by hipsters and everybody who likes the image. Kinda the same for Blackberry I think, only does BB has a more mature and business like flair to it. Would explain why it also scored high.

I think Google is seriously starting an Android movement though. Compared to the iPhone, the Android is still pretty fresh, but some hardcore fans are definitely out there.

I use an iPhone and although I consider it great as a portable device I think it lacks as a phone (sound quality, loudness of ringtones and clearness of speaker are inferior to cheaper phones). After using Android and other OS I think I'ma stick with Apple if I get another "smart" phone. The diversity of apps and great UI make up for its defects.

Still waiting for some better specs smartphones till I get one. Some new functions are nice, but useless when they are undeveloped.
I'm already an android fan though, opensource ftw. Symbian is kinda dying, otherwise a Nokia C7 would be a cool phone to get.
Developments go so fast nowadays, it's hard to keep track of them, all OS's are developing too so it's no wonder people are permanently hopping from one to the other.

I love my iPhone (I'm writing this with it!!). I'm sticking with iPhone unless someone comes up with something amazing.

I have symbian. Once I touched my friends iPhone and then my other friends android I realized that symbian sucks :) I woul rather buy something else than symbian. Probably android.

anyway, I think the problem nowadays that so many phones come out it’s hard to keep track of what is which brand. Especially all non-Apple phones. And that’s the strength of the iPhone. There are not many models, so it’s easier for the users to feel connected.
