How do you solve the tuttminx?

Pure twists: Anything along the lines of [R U2 R' U'2 R U2 R' U'2, D2] should still work.

Again, do you know commutators? With the right setup moves, 8-move comms should at least be able to solve permutation.

I know how to do commutators on the megaminx when I'm doing a corner PLL.

I will try your pure twist thing.

Using the concept you said there I got it to the PLL.

...But I got a freaky looking N perm like thing.:fp

If some one tells me how to do 3 cycles for edges and corners I will making a tutorial in your name.:o

Can you solve the last 6-corner face by destroying an adjacend 5-corner face? Then you would have a 5-corner face as LL, which should be similar to the Megaminx.
If someone else suggested this before, ignore me.

By using Sune you can cycle the Front-Right, Back-Right and Back edges, then corner Orient using z [R U R' U'] (turn left to unsolved edge [R U R' U'] etc.) z' then corner PLL by using R' D R Ux U' D' R etc. Just like on a megaminx.

:mad::mad::mad:AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad:

Did you guys read the whole thread? No...

It doesnt work like that you can only turn the hexagonal sides in multiples of 2!!!

R2 U2 R'2 U R2 U2 R'2 and R2 U'2 R'2 U' R2 U'2 R'2 are PLLs on a megaminx, so you could try R2 U2 R'2 U2 R2 U2 R'2 and R2 U'2 R'2 U'2 R2 U'2 R'2 from different ways to see if you can turn it into a nicer PLL case.

On Twisty Puzzles and also in Tony Fisher's review, they say that the hexagon can be turned in single side rotations and it slightly jumbles the puzzle. You may need to loosen the tensions slightly but that is possible.

You might want to try solving the hexagonal side and sacrificing the pentagonal side... It will probably make the last layer a bit easier because there are less pieces to permute.

Was that not already said 3 post up from yours. :fp

I actually found out a way to solve it and I'm so happy!!!
