How do you guys F2L???

Just wondering on which layers you guys F2L? Why?

I use layer M & L, I just do it because when I heard about F2L I figured it out for my self and I figured it out like that. (Also it's barely a cube rotation to the Last Layer)

If you don't know notation I'm putting the layer with centers and edges first, and the layer with center, edges, & corners second.

I'm pretty sure most common is probably ED though.

Yeah this notation is quite awkward and uncommon. What you solve is called "cross on left" to most people.

For others; ED = cross on bottom

I had a look into it for ZZ F2L, so using M and L. It meant using U, R and D moves, rather than L, U and R moves (slightly more finger friendly), but the lookahead wasn't as good. Since lookahead is the most important aspect during F2L, I decided to switch back to E and D.

Is it Fridrich (Cross -> 4x C/E pairs) you're currently using for F2L? How do you find the lookahead?

I am currently getting Keyhole F2L to a standard where I can use it for timed solves. I use beginner F2L or timed solves right now.
