how do i prevent my eastsheen 4x4 from popping?

I just got this eastsheen 4x4 about a week ago from borders. it turns amazingly but the popping is starting to get on my nerves just a bit. is there any way to prevent this?

Oh. Well honestly, eastsheens are not the best 4x4s out there. I would recommend the QJ 4x4s from DX. They are cheap, but they take a while to ship. Anyway, you should get one.

alright. i wanted a mini QJ anyway and was planning on getting one for christmas. i just got the eastsheen because all i have other than that is the new rubik's brand one.

Based on that, I'll take your word that it actually is an Eastsheen, but... are you sure that it's an Eastsheen? The popping and the fact that you got it at Borders both make me skeptical.

Also, how hard is it to put the cube back together, as Eastsheens are an absolute nightmare to assemble.

Get a new 4x4. I recommend the QJ Mini 4x4 from Cube4You.com

+1 I've had my Eastsheen for a while and it doesn't pop ever even if I'm trying to pop it, even though I loosened the screws (don't do that ever).

That can't be an Eastsheen. They don't pop. And they are a pain in the butt to assemble. And you can't get them at Borders. Pictures please.

Centers pop from my ES. I have this situation once per 10 solves.

I also bought an Easty 4x4 from Borders a while back, with some strange stickers, and after re-stickering and lubing it, it became what I believe to be a great cube.
Mefferts/QJ's are better, but the Easty will do no harm.

Yeppers, I also recall that clones were sold at Borders.

i guess the clone is what i bought then. it had the eastsheen DYI booklet inside the packaging.
