I just started OH solving and i get like low 3 minute solves... I don't get how people get such low times. Can anybody give me some ideas/hints/guides on how to get faster?

Also can you guys tell me how long it took you to get like 1:30 ?

Have you tried mirroring all of your algs and inserting corner edge pairs on the left side? With OH (assuming you are using your right hand) L and U turns are much easier than R turns. L' is done with your ring finger, L with your index, and U and U' are also with your index.

I haven't practiced OH at all really and I can avg around 23 second F2L, simply by moving smooth and inserting pieces in the shortest amount of moves I can. My LL kills me, but I can still avg sub-45 seconds.

I avg 40 seconds F2L.
try thinking about using pointer for most moves and ring finger for B and L' combind with cube rotation this is about it. at least for the F2L
I always try to do the front left slot.

at first just practice at slow speed taking pairs out of the F2L and inserting them again.

I have huge trouble with the last layer myself so no tips for that

or you can try to use cross in the left (if you're using your left hand) for some (or all) F2L pairs, instead of using L moves...maybe changing some awkward OLL algs too

I average like 25 seconds...it's really about practicing, I guess

Yes, I think all you need to know to get better at OH is:
"Pratise, Practise, Practise"
when I started OH I was averaging maybe 1 minute or 50 seconds 2 hand and about 3 minutes OH. I quickly within a week or two got down to under 2 minutes then maybe a month was under a minute. But this was before I knew there was such a big cubing community and I only cubed with the 5-10 people at my school so I thought I was amazing at OH lol. Now (it has been maybe 4 or 5 months) I can f2l around 18 second f2l (including cross) and then another 10-15 more for LL. Just by practicing a lot you will figure out all the tricks you need to do and cube rotations will naturally be added into your algs and f2l.

the first time i tried OH, i got 1:45, or something like that, i'm sure it was sub 2.

just make sure you look ahead, since you're moving slower, and like practicing last layer is the only way u can get fast at it, because last layer for me with OH is really hard, takes me forever... like 10+ secs. I avg around 38 and i've been OH-ing for about 2 ~ 3 months.

What are you times for normal 2 hands solve ?
When I began OH, I had some awful memory leak during the PLL so I had to "learn" them again one handed. My times were approximatively 2 minutes something. I learned a lot in this forum (look previous post / slow speed video / one handed fingertricks) and practised during two/three weeks. I am now averaging a bit less than 1:30 and I had my PB this morning: 1:00 :)
I generally needs 50-60 seconds for the cross + F2L and 15-25 seconds for the LL.
