Is there any way I can fix the popping on the Guhung? Every other solve I do it pops. The tensions are set really tight, it cant even cut a full cubie any more, so tightening it would just make it not speed solvable.

Is there a way?

My Guhong pops too. I'll probably just buy a Dayan 5, they aren't supposed to pop.

I don't know how tight or loose you have yours, but mine is fairly loose and doesn't pop nearly as often as yours. i could probably fix my popping issue if I just tightened it up a bit, but I'd rather just get used to having a loose cube.

If yours is so tight you can barely cut corners with it, it's probably too tight. Try loosening it half a turn on all sides and lubing it up nice, preferably with shock oil instead of a spray silicon.

I've tightened mine until it can fairly easily cut line to line (a full cubie) and it rarely pops. I have to handle it pretty roughly for an edge to pop out.

i have a video of a mod i did to my lingyun that virtually eliminated all of my popping issues. i hope it helps~

Mine never pops and I even modded it by sanding all the pieces a bit as well as by doing the 48 point edge mod.

maybe check if the kube has dried out, mine started popping like crazy at a time, and I though it was turning bad, so I lubed it again and it jumped back to its normal performance, also check the screws if they're black or not, I changed screws between my colored and black guhong, since the colored had the new screws and spring set, which is silver colored, and it turned better than my black one, I tried changing the core, springs and screws between them, and the black one got better, but not as good as the colored was...

why do the illegal cube have to be the best one? >.<

the colored guhong was illegal in comp last time I checked, since the BL and BR edges can be seen when doing a U turn, along with other similar things too, so I dont think they're legal....
