Hello, I recently heard about the forum and decided I should join. I have been cubing for four years but didn't get serious till about three months ago. Anyway, my reason for posting is because I need some help with the forum rules. Some don't make sense and the last thing I want to do is accidentally break the rules. Any information would be great.

Thanks,
Mark

Hello and welcome!

You are gonna mess up from time to time if you post here often. Don't worry, you won't get banned for messing up. The mods will send you a message and you'll start to figure out what's acceptable. In general though I would say don't start new threads very often. Most of the time, if you have a question, there's a section that it should go in. If you just have a general question about cubing that only needs a quick answer, there's the "one answer question thread", if you have a question about a specific method, there's usually a thread about that.

If you put any thought into what you post, you'll be fine. Most people who have trouble don't have any filter on what they post. The fact that you come in worrying about the rules means you'll be fine.

Thanks for the help Deedubb, now I feel a bit better about posting. I do have one more question though, if I wanted to ask more than one question about a topic, is it acceptable to ask them on a main thread of that topic?

You can ask multiple questions in either The One Answer Question thread or in the thread about that topic. As long as it is relevant it shouldn't be an issue, I myself would go to the One answer thread, just because it is more active.
