My name is Anthony, I am from Greece and I am a cuber for about 15 months. I use speedcubing for the 2x2x2 cube(I learned Ortega and now I am learning CLL).
My average time with CLL is 8 to 9 seconds and my single record is 4.37 seconds. The only problem is that I can't predict the CLL case. What I do is I follow each piece in my mind and see where it goes but it takes a lot of time...What can I do? Just practice or there is a better way? Thanks!!!

BADBADBAD. It is my opinion that you should not be recognising the CLLs that way...at all!

Sune + Antisune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCrsXWtVTQA
T: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMc-bcNlSjQ

Thank you very much for aswering my comment but I already do that the same way the person in the video does. I meant to predict the CLL during inspection so that I don't lose time later. Have you got an advice for this? Thanks!

Hopefully you have an efficient first layer (not too many moves). Mostly it will take practice. You can practice smaller steps. What I mean is first practice being able to quickly determine which CLL set it will be (Pi, H, etc.) and after you are fast at that then move on to predicting more. I hope that made sense.
