I started cubing around last year, but then quit for a while, but just recently picked it back up. I only have a storebought cube (3x3x3) for now, so i have to work with what i have. I'm currently learning Full Fridrich (on PLL's right now)

My average is about 42 seconds.
I'm in SC. and i have not been to any competitions yet. I haven't really tried any other method except Fridrich, (and beginner of course) but i'm trying to learn the Roux method.

Hi there. If you're planning on learning Fridrich and Roux, I'd suggest learning COLL and ELL for the last layer because it'd serve both methods, so that's killing two birds with one stone. Fridrich/CFOP has 78 algorithms (21 PLLs and 57 OLLs) while COLL and ELL together adds up to 71, if I'm not wrong (42 COLLs and 29 ELLs). So you have theoretically 7 less algorithms to learn (I'm not sure how many mirrors there are).

But if you don't understand what I'm talking about, just stick with PLLs and OLLs for now xD.

Hm, interesting. Just checked that up. I am thinking though, since COLL preserves the orientation of the edges, it should allow better recognition/look ahead from a theoretical standpoint, in the sense that the impending ELL case is more predictable since you already know the orientation of the edges while solving the corners. Though for some cases CLL is shorter so I guess each has its pros and cons.

But in the end it wouldn't be CFOP anymore, so scratch that.
