Hi everyone,

Been solid with the beginner’s method for a while, but decided to pull the trigger on a new cube (DaYan ZanChi) and get into speed cubing about a week and a half ago. So far, my time is measured in days. ;) Actually, the last time I checked it was just under 2 ½ minutes, sadly. I’m using CFOP and solving F2L “intuitively” is really kicking me in the pants. But I have hope that as I keep practicing it will all click and I’ll be sub 40, then sub 30, etc. here soon. Once I feel comfortable with everything, then I’ll start timing my solves.

A little bit about me: I’m in my late 30’s and have a wife and 3 kids. Although I enjoy a few different hobbies, I’ve never been interested in joining any forums until I started searching through the internet for help on speed cubing. You all seem like a pretty good group and I look forward to being a part of it!

Welcome! 2.5 is not too bad for just getting into things. There's lots of great resources here for you to learn from. I'm also learning some intuitive F2L, and it's pretty tricky. I don't use CFOP as a main method, but I'm practicing it for fun. Anyway, check around, and if you have any questions, let me know. You'll get faster with practice.
